Low-key luxury lodge with some 60 rooms. The best come with views of Grey Glacier and its iceberg strewn lake.
The Hostería operates trekking trips in the surrounding areas as well as the Grey II launch, which cruises to and from the Glacier face four times a day ($80).
Getting There
By road, the hotel is 116 km from Puerto Natales. There is no bus to the hotel.
You can also reach both the W and Circuit treks from here by taking the Grey II launch to Refugio Grey, making this hotel a good choice if you want to end or start either trek with a bit of luxury or comfort.
Four sailings a day run from the hotel to Refugio Grey at 8am; 12noon; 3:30pm; 6:30pm ($64). The journey takes one hour and does not include a cruise to Grey Glacier face, unlike the return journey, which takes two hours ($70), and runs at 9am; 1pm; 4:30pm; 7:30pm.
Alternatively the shorter and less known Pingo Zapata Circuit starts at the hotel.
