Torres del Paine fees overhaul

December 2025
Chile's most famous national park will move to a route-based entrance fee system from May 1 2026, replacing the current system based only on length of stay.

The change, confirmed by Conaf, Chile's Forestry Commission, had been postponed following implementation delays. Current Torres del Paine fees have been adjusted for inflation only.

From days to destinations

Planned ticket categories include: day access; Base Torres trail; the W Trek and the full Torres del Paine Circuit.

Conaf says its goal is to tackle overcrowding, especially during peak season, and to better fund trail maintenance and safety services.

An official price list has not yet been published.

Torres del Paine is one of South America's most popular long-haul trekking destinations. From May 2026, travellers will need to commit to specific routes in advance, making early planning more important than ever.
